About

Pete Dulcamara is the Founder of Pete Dulcamara & Associates, LLC

Pete founded Pete Dulcamara & Associates, LLC to help fulfill his personal mission which is to “create businesses that improve people’s lives.”  The founding principle is rooted in the practice of what he calls, “humanity-centric innovation,” which aims to solve the biggest problems facing humanity in an economically viable way.  Pete believes that we can all become billionaires if we stop defining a billionaire as someone who accumulates a billion dollars and start defining it as someone that helps a billion people.

Before starting this LLC, Pete served as the vice president of corporate research for Kimberly-Clark.  In this role, he led a team of scientists that discovered, developed, and delivered new and emerging technologies to create breakthrough essential products globally for the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, including iconic brands such as, Huggies®, Kotex®, Kleenex®, Depend® and more.  Pete also served as the company’s first and only Chief Scientist where he helped to create long-term science and technology strategies for the corporation.

Prior to Kimberly-Clark, Pete served as a senior executive with The Dow Chemical Company, where he held various positions for numerous businesses in research and development, new business development, sustainable development, mergers and acquisitions, corporate licensing, and new ventures.

In all the roles Pete has held, he is seen as a challenger, coach, and catalyst for developing and executing enterprise-wide technology strategies.  He has a track record of helping organizations foster a culture of scientific excellence focused on accelerating the implementation of transformative and disruptive innovations to accelerate revenue growth, profitability, and returns.  Pete particularly enjoys leading future-focused initiatives that reflect world-class science and technological innovation combined with cutting-edge research capabilities to deliver superior business results.

Pete is a passionate proponent of sustainability strategies and the circular economy, and believes it is vital to use advances in data science, materials science, and exponential technologies, such as artificial intelligence, advanced robotics, and genomics to unlock disruptive solutions. Pete is a featured speaker at conferences around the world, typically receiving rave reviews for “thought-provoking” content, “powerful and innovative” storytelling, and a unique ability to translate complex topics into “highly accessible and inspiring insights” for a wide array of audiences.

Pete has a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with minors in mathematics and physics from Cameron University, and a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in chemical engineering from Oklahoma State University. Pete is an alumnus of The Prince of Wales’s Business & Sustainability Programme through the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College on Innovation Strategy.
